I’ve been looking forward to this day when I write on the Fresh Fruit Cleanse blog. As many of you know, I began the True Yoga Blog in 2005. I’ve been writing on it regularly over the past 6 years, and, actually the opportunity to write the Fresh Fruit Cleanse book happened because of the True Yoga Blog. The publisher, Ulysses Press, was searching about fresh fruit cleanses on google.com. Because I have been cleansing with fruit for many years, I had written about it on the True Yoga Blog many times. So, when they searched for fresh fruit cleanse my blog appeared. They read through my posts, liked my writing and contacted me. It’s so incredible how life works in amazing and mysterious ways. I had no idea just over a year ago I would be writing and publishing a book. I had dreamed of writing a book but didn’t actually ever really believe it would become a reality. Well, it turns out, dreams really do come true.
I will be updating the Fresh Fruit Cleanse blog regularly with lots of information on health, nutrition, recipes and wellness. I hope you enjoy and find the information here beneficial to your health and life. I’d like to start this first post sharing about something I recently started taking…Supercritical Sea Buckthorn Oil. It’s amazing. If you don’t know anything about Supercritical Sea Buckthorn Oil it contains Omega 7 fatty acids. Dr. Oz has featured this incredible berry super food on his show talking about its awesome benefits. You can order Supercritical Sea Buckthorn oil on amazon.com. I’ve been taking it for a month now and really notice the difference in how my skin looks and feels. I first learned about it in an email I received from nutritional expert, David Wolfe. He shared a video that talked about the benefits of Omega 7 for the skin. Sea buckthorn oil comes from the Himalayan sea buckthorn berry, a tiny orange berry 1/3 the size of a blueberry. Packed with antioxidants and vitamin C, the sea buckthorn berry offers a powerful combination of nutrients, vitamins and health benefits that are unmatched. Studies show that the berry actually impedes the body’s ability to store fat. In addition to helping regulate fat storage in the body, it also has a concentrated dose of Omega 7 fatty acid, which, is scarce among basic fruits and vegetables and crucial to collagen production. Sea buckthorn oil can be found in capsules, facial and hair moisturizing products. When it’s rubbed on the face topically, as this video describes here, it can help to prevent wrinkles and brighten the skin…
Sea buckthorn oil in capusle form is also beneficial against aging of the skin. In addition to skin benefits, the Omega 7 signals the intestinal lining to secrete lubricants to ease the digestive processes, making the berry a natural cure for constipation. Here is a little more info about this ‘miracle fruit.’
I love sea buckthorn oil and definitely believe my skin has improved in the last month I have been taking it in capsule form. I take 2 capsules a day and it lasts for 30 days. I also began using fresh lemon juice on my skin, as well. I write about applying lemon juice to the skin in the Fresh Fruit Cleanse book. I learned about this tip in a book called Do You Have the Guts to Be Beautiful?, which, I wrote about in the book, as well. But, I only used the fresh lemon juice on my face for a short time while writing the book and then switched to something else. In the last couple of weeks I started using the fresh lemon juice again and am finding my face and skin is feeling great from it. I also notice it’s a natural antiseptic so if I feel like there’s a breakout starting on my face, I will apply the lemon juice and zap, I can feel it’s antiseptic effect taking place killing off any unhealthy bacteria. It’s also great for fine lines and wrinkles because it’s full of antioxidants and the Vitamin C helps to build collagen.
Looking forward to sharing more soon. Definitely get some Sea Buckthorn oil, and, when life gives you lemons, rub the juice on your face! 🙂
